Meet a cast member in New York

I am very excited to announce a major enhancement to the included Equus Workshop. After seeing this riveting and astonishing play, you will have the special opportunity to meet a cast member from the Broadway company of Equus. On the following day, you will arrive at a rehearsal studio where Broadway auditions and rehearsals actually take place. You will have an inside experience of the Broadway Theatre scene, while having an in-depth discussion about this extraordinary play. The Equus cast member will share his journey in being a part of this Tony Award winning play, adding insights of the script, sharing his rehearsal experience, and giving you behind the scenes stories in an intimate setting. You will be able to ask questions and discuss your experience as well-- how the play spoke to you.

While many fans are understandably disappointed about the delay in the movie’s release, I am thrilled that we have been able to create an even stronger program in New York for you. I hope to see you there!

Warner Bros changes HP6 movie release date

Most of you are aware of the development late last week from Warner Brothers to delay the opening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince until July of 2009. The movie showing was to be a big part of the New York City trip, so as you can imagine our office has been working on overdrive to fill this piece of the upcoming EQUUS tour in New York City.

School of Wizardry

The HP Fan Trips™ School of Wizardry at Ford’s Castle in England has just ended and I understand from the professors that everyone graduated with high marks! The dungeon was put to good use for potions and storytelling, the vast castle grounds provided a great class room for herbology and for our very popular wizarding game, and surprise deliveries were received by many students. Wizarding Wilson, who attended this summer’s school, documented his experience with a video. Check back at http://www.hpfantrips.com/ to see what Wilson had to say about his time at summer school. Until then, have a magical summer! Jeannie

Washington, more research for Twilight Fan Trips

Another three days in Washington in the Olympic Peninsula, La Push, the Quileute Reservation and Forks meeting with people, hiking through forests, investigating locations. Love my job!

Then the hard work begins when I get back to the office. Sifting through all of the information, choosing the best of the best to create the perfect fan tour. Keep those comments and suggestions coming; we review all of them when developing trips.

Checking out Portland for Twilight Fan Trips

Portland is a fantastic city with a great funky edge to it. No wonder the cast and crew were delighted to settle down and unusually stay in one place for much of the filming. I have three full days ahead of me to research locations, hike around the lush vegetation of the Columbia River Gorge, inspect hotels, and sample lots of restaurants – what could be better!

Twilight Fan Trips

My first night in Portland, Oregon – where the majority of film locations are located for Twilight. I am so excited to start working on the trip designs for Twilight Fan Trips™. After our very bright administrative assistant handed me Twilight to read on my family’s vacation, I have read the entire series (to date), read all the official and fan websites, have been speaking with fans and fan webmasters, researching locations…………basically immersing myself in this new fantasy world.
